How Long Does the Limited Warranty Last?

JUUL devices, including JUUL portable charging cases, come with a one (1) year limited warranty (“Limited Warranty”) from the date of retail purchase from www.JUUL.com or from an authorized JUUL retailer by a person at least 21 years old (not by any purchaser between 18 and 20 years old, even if that person is from a state where he or she is not required to be 21 in order to purchase the device). This Limited Warranty is NOT transferable to subsequent purchasers. (Please visit www.JUUL.com for a list of authorized JUUL retailers.)

What Other Warranties are Available?

Juul Labs makes no other express warranty.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE LENGTH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

What Does the Limited Warranty Cover?

Juul Labs only warrants the device and charging case against defects in materials and workmanship that arise under normal use.

What Will Juul Labs Do?

If a valid claim under this Limited Warranty is received within the 1-year warranty period, Juul Labs will, as its only obligation and your only remedy, either: (1) repair the defect; (2) replace the device with a new and/or functionally equivalent device; or (3) refund the consideration paid by the customer for the product. In the case of a limited edition or discontinued products, or in any other circumstances where Juul Labs determines that a functionally equivalent device must be provided, Juul Labs shall exclusively determine what is “functionally equivalent.” Please note that an itemized proof of purchase is required in order to receive warranty service or process a claim. Juul Labs may replace your device with a new and/or functionally equivalent device by reimbursing you for the replacement from a retailer of your choice and will require a proof of purchase for the replacement in such cases.

What is NOT Covered by the Limited Warranty?

  1. JUULpods, and JUUL USB Charging Dock (included in device kits), are not covered by this Limited Warranty;
  2. Damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes;
  3. Damage caused by the device being exposed to or coming in contact with moisture (e.g., liquids, water, or rain, extreme humidity, unusual heavy perspiration or other moisture), or extreme thermal or environmental conditions (e.g., sand, food, dirt or similar substances);
  4. Damage caused by operating the device outside the permitted or intended use as described by Juul Labs in the device documentation;
  5. Damage caused to a device or part by modification to alter functionality or capability;
  6. Damage to the device (1) attributable to accessories or attachments not authorized or recommended by Juul Labs, or (2) attributable to accessories or attachments authorized or recommended by Juul Labs but where usage of those accessories or attachments was outside of normal or recommended use;
  7. Cosmetic damage occurring through wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, dents, and broken plastic;
  8. Any device where the serial number has been tampered with, erased or obscured, or is not genuine;
  9. Normal performance degradation of batteries (please contact Juul Labs Customer Care for more information on battery degradation);
  10. Damage caused by opening, disassembling or tampering with your device in any way; or
  11. Devices purchased, or intended for sale, outside of the United States.

How Do You Get Service?

To obtain service under this Limited Warranty, the original purchaser must do the following:

  1. Review this Limited Warranty to confirm that the device is covered.
  2. Proof of purchase may be requested before warranty service will be provided. Please retain your purchase receipt or other evidence of purchase for your records.
  3. It is recommended soon after purchase and prior to submitting a request for warranty support, and for your convenience, that you register the date of retail purchase and device serial number as both are needed to establish the start/end dates of the Limited Warranty. Registration is not required to make warranty claim but creation of a JUUL.com account or an account with a third-party warranty service provider may be required for identity and age verification purposes, as well as refund confirmations.
  4. If no date of purchase is submitted or no record of the purchase date is provided by you or otherwise available to Juul Labs at the time warranty service is requested, the warranty start/end dates will be determined by the date of device manufacture included in the device serial number.
  5. Contact Juul Labs Customer Care at https://support.juul.com/s/contactsupport to arrange warranty service by age verifying online at www.JUUL.com, submitting your Juul Device serial number, and submitting a support request, including as many details as possible of the problem experienced to ensure prompt service.
  6. Upon approval of your support request, Juul Labs will send a one-time use URL link to your email to obtain a warranty reimbursement through Paypal or Venmo. You must use one of these two services to receive reimbursement.

Please note:
1. Juul Labs Customer Care may request additional details about the device, including pictures or videos, and may attempt to troubleshoot common issues before approving warranty service.
2. Original purchasers requesting warranty replacement will be subject to age verification. Juul Labs will only honor this Limited Warranty for original purchasers at least 21 years old at the time of purchase.
3. We additionally reserve the right to deny a warranty claim if the warranty claim is fraudulent or designed to avoid the age restriction. Counterfeiting

The fight against unauthorized and counterfeit devices is a long-term commitment to quality and service by Juul Labs. Juul Labs advises consumers to be cautious when purchasing devices from unauthorized resellers. While Juul Labs would like to help the victims of counterfeiting, we are not able to reimburse money used to purchase infringing or counterfeit goods, nor do we assist with the resolution of disputes. In the case where we have a good faith belief that warranty claims are the result of counterfeit devices, we may reject such warranty claims, in our sole discretion.

What is the Extent of Juul Labs’ Obligations and Your Rights?

  1. IN NO EVENT WILL JUUL LABS BE LIABLE FOR MONETARY DAMAGES OR OTHER LOSSES RESULTING FROM ANY DEVICE DEFECT OR FAILURE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMTIED TO ANY LOSS OF USE OR TIME, OR ANY INCONVENIENCE, OR FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY, ANY OTHER CONTRACT BREACH, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORT OR ON ANY STRICT LIABILITY THEORY.
  2. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
  3. Juul Labs does not authorize any other person to make or assume any obligation or liability in connection with any of its devices, and Juul Labs is not responsible for and will not be bound by any additional warranties provided by retailers.
